You drive up B31 through the Hell's Canyon (watch for the monument of a deer on a cliff which is a reminder of a deer who once jumped from one side of the canyon to the other). This is already more than enough for a daytrip.Ģ) Southeast of Freiburg. There are also modest waterfalls and a pretty museum.Ī little further northwards, in Gutach, there is the Vogstbauernhof open-air museum where many traditional farmhouses are on display. The main attraction here is the clock-making museum, which I consider the best of its kind, because it gives an excellent impression how clocks were manufactured in the Black Forest and how they were traded all over the world.
